POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:

  • Prior to participating, participants must review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.
  • The SCGA's mask policy follows in accordance with the CDC and the California Department of Public Health. This is subject to change due to any local guidelines or site protocols. Click here to learn more.

FORMAT:

  • All players will participate in a 36-hole foursomes stroke play championship (18 holes each day).
  • During each round, partners must play alternately from the teeing areas (i.e. Player A must tee off on the odd holes, Player B must tee off on all the even holes). Players may reverse this order on the second day of play; however they are not required to do so.
  • Awards will be given to those who finish in 1st through 5th place in each division.  In the event of a tie for first place in either division, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following the conclusion of regular play.

PRACTICE ROUNDS:

  • Practice rounds are a privilege, not a right. These opportunities are provided at the sole discretion of the host qualifying facility. Players are guests and must follow all club policies and guidelines regarding practice rounds.
  • Player behavior during practice rounds will be subject to the SCGA Code of Conduct.
  • Players may make arrangements for practice rounds at their own expense. To book a practice round, call the Friendly Hills golf shop at (562) 698-0331. Practice rounds may be booked at any time on a space available basis.

Green fee: $100; cart fee: $18 per player

REGISTRATION:

There will be no registration at this championship.

STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:

  • Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the championship.
  • Starting times will range from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. each day.
  • Players are encouraged to arrive at their assigned tee well in advance of their starting time, as the SCGA starter will have information to discuss and distribute to each player in the group. Furthermore, players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 9:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 9:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late. Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive in time to watch the group in front of them tee off.
